The step resembles what is commonly known as the single step. Start by stepping onto the ball of the right foot on the first beat of the bar, hop on the right foot swinging the left foot just across the right foot. Repeat on the left foot. The change of foot should be through the air so that there is a time when both feet are off the ground. The whole dance should be performed on the ball of the foot never the heel. The step is repeated through the dance unless otherwise stated.
